We work with our customers to have four options in mind when we are engaged for service work. We want to develop a:
- One year solution plan, to maximize infusion of process improvements with non-intrusive customer changes that maximize savings
- A three year plan with measurable benchmarks as part of above, so the complete savings are realized, and constant improvement is part of every day planning.
- A strategic five year plan so equipment & vendor selections can be properly life-cycled
- A plan that will endure for ten years, by providing metrics and flexibility as needed to amend to changing economic and customer climate
PR will analyze a number of variables, including traffic lane availability, modes of transportation, applicable rates and tariffs, revenue-generating back-haul opportunities for the private fleet, and shipment volumes, frequencies and specific nature of products shipped or picked up. We can develop a concrete budget for all transportation expense and help you monitor your company's progress, tracking potential problems before they become insurmountable. The end result is a totally integrated distribution system that is customer designed to achieve maximum results at a minimum cost. This will include, but not be limited to:
- Private fleet alternatives
- For Hire alternatives
- Site location studies, as needed and applicable
- Fleet utilization studies
- Back-haul opportunities
- Applications and compliance as necessary
With these option considerations, then PR can make appropriate recommendations, and develop cost budgets for comparison for:
- Dedicated Contract Carriage
- Dedicated Capacity
- Fleet finance alternatives, including but not limited to Full Service Lease, Finance Lease, or Ownership alternatives via outright payment
- In House maintenance to support above if applicable
- Out source of maintenance to third party via Programmed Maintenance Agreements
- Time and Material Agreements with PR qualified vendors to support as needed
- Outsource to line-haul truckload operation with LTL supplementing as needed.
